Cengalo - NW Pillar - Gaiser Lehmann (TD-)

This is a magnificent ascent, opened by F. Gaiser and B.Lehmann on 15 July 1937. Right in the same days Cassin & Co. were living their odissey on the more famous Cassin route at the NE wall of Pizzo Badile. Compared to the latter, the Gaiser Lehmann presents less technical difficulties and it almost lacks of atlethic passages. The overall difficulty is by the way much higher. This is due to the approach on the glacier and the orientation problems you encounter expecially in the lower part of the route
